If there's anything more avoidable than being flashed a yellow card for time-wasting over a throw-in, it's receiving a second one exactly two seconds later for a needless challenge.

With a full 22 minutes remaining and following Giovani dos Santos' tremendous equaliser against Kansas City, Ashley Cole decided it was high time to settle for a 1-1 draw by taking his time with a throw-in in his own half.

The referee didn't take too kindly to Cole's bizarrely premature decision and promptly went to his pocket, took Cole's name and flashed yellow in his direction.
