VIDEO: Benfica’s 360° training room is actually kind of awesome

After stubbornly refusing to get its head out of the sand, football finally seems to be embracing technology.

Goal-line technology is making referees' lives a lot easier in the Premier League but Benfica have taken the potential positives of high-tech football to the next level with their 360° individual training facility. This video shows some members of Benfica's B team showing off the amazing machinery available to them to improve their personal performance. The room includes an automated ball-boy system that fires the ball to your feet so that they can perfect their first-touch. Targets then appear panoramically that the players must attempt to hit while sensors measure the power and accuracy with which they strike the football.
