VIDEO: Gary Neville would add two names to Alex Ferguson’s list of world class players

Never has "world class" been uttered as often as this week.

Alex Ferguson ignited the debate about the meaning of the term, what constitutes a "world class" player and whether he was right in leaving out some notable names on his list of only "world class" four players that worked under him at Manchester United that. Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Eric Cantona were singled out for that particular accolade which had every football fan up in arms. And United legend Gary Neville has weighed in on the argument by claiming that his former boss had left out two vital names, in his personal opinion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=112&v=iLkHl6AcNYU "The one that stood out for me would be Peter Schmeichel," Neville said on Monday Night Football. "He, in my career at Manchester United, was definitely a world class goalkeeper. If he wasn't a world class goalkeeper then I don't know what was so I'd say he was. "I'd say Roy Keane was a world class player in terms of that period between the end of the 1990s and early 2000s." And of course Neville's comments led to some typical pot-stirring from Jamie Carragher who attempted to twist the discussion into a reproval of Ferguson. Television gold, as always.
