Video: Xabi Alonso playfully trolls Jamie Carragher and was delighted to return ‘home’ to Anfield

Xabi Alonso seemed genuinely chuffed to be back at Anfield on Sunday.

The Bayern Munich midfielder played his first game back at his old ground in Steven Gerrard's farewell charity game, and said after the game 'it was great to be back home'. Alonso spent five years at Liverpool, joining from Real Sociedad in 2004 before leaving for Real Madrid in 2009, and said following the 2-2 draw that the game was his chance to say a proper goodbye to the fans.
