And as luck would have it, Heskey linked up with his fellow 36-year-old strike partner Eidur Gudjohnsen to bag the equaliser. It's worth noting that Blackburn lost a 1-0 lead that day to a strike force aged a combined 72-years-old. True to his word though, McGuinness landed on at Bolton training this morning to honour his bet, giving Heskey's boots a good scrubbing, while pretending that all along he had nothing but respect for the veteran striker.
