That's exactly what referee Felix Zwayer decided to do when Bayer Leverkusen manager Roger Schmidt refused to leave after being sent off during Sunday's match against Dortmund.
The incident happened just after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired Dortmund into the lead, when Schmidt wouldn't accept his sending off. The referee's patience quickly ran out and rather than argue with the manager, he decided the best course of action was to just leave the game and go walking down the tunnel.
Both teams were sent to their locker rooms and the match finally resumed after nearly 15 minutes of delay when Schmidt accepted his punishment and went to the stands. Check out the bizarre scene in the video embedded below. https://twitter.com/losexpulsados/status/701447376452481024
