We love a good jersey, a Zlatan quote and a Nigel Pearson rant as much as the next football fan but the phenomenon of the crossbar challenge wore thin with us years ago.

But Patrick da Silva has gone and turned that around with this ludicrous effort that made us believe in magic just a little bit. The Brondby left-back pulled off an around-the-world move before letting rip with a sensational rabona that saw the ball ricochet off the crossbar, much to the delight of his teammate.
