Jack Wilshere's career wasn't meant to go like this. He was Arsenal's golden boy, he dominated the greatest midfield trio of all time at the age of 19. But a succession of injuries, and a few more injuries, saw his star fade to the point that he is now without a club before he has turned 30. Wilshere last turned out for AFC Bournemouth, but the Championship club chose not to renew his contract at the end of last season. On Wednesday night, Wigan Athletic chairman Talal Al Hammad tweeted, offering Wilshere a place in his squad.
