Camogie Association dismisses Wexford appeal over injury time defeat

The Camogie Association has dismissed an appeal launched by Wexford Camogie Board regarding the All-Ireland semi-final result in their game against Galway. A hearing was held on Thursday night, where the National Transfers, Hearings and Disciplinary Committee of the Camogie Association (NTHDC) dismissed the appeal. Wexford felt they had legitimate grievances - over injury time played and a suspect '45 - but both appeals were rejected. “The NTHDC considered the evidence presented tonight (August 27) and subsequently dismissed the appeal,” a statement from the Association read. Wexford Camogie Board lodged an objection to the senior semi-final result based on Rules 41.5 and Rules 41.6 of An Treoir Oifigiúil. The semi-final saw the Model County lose out by one point to the Tribeswomen and they appealed on the grounds that they believed that the amount of injury time played in the second half was incorrect and also that a '45 taken by Kate Kelly had been incorrectly ruled wide.
