Meeting at 6:15, six of us there. Brian Barrett makes 40 phone calls in two hours and manages to gather up 11 players... Michael O Flynn is pulled out of bed and arrives on with plate of fish fresh out of the glen. PJ O Halloran answers the call and shows his commitment to the club after all his years of service and leaves the bed-time stories to Norma for the evening... Shane Corkery comes out of retirement to help us out. Finally have enough players, on the road to Shamballa. Arrive at Shanballa only to realise Dwaine Collins has forgotten the jerseys and footballs because he was doing the weekly shop (cans). The match commences with Charleville playing with Shanballymore jerseys inside out with the rain pouring down. Martin O'Connor and John O'Donnell arrive with our own jerseys but take 40 mins to get from car park to side line and as we where already soaked we stayed in the Shanballa jerseys.Well done 'Xavi'.
