We’ve already picked the football team, now it’s time for the hurling XV.

For the last couple of months, we’ve been asking the readers of JOE and SportsJOE to help us select the best club football team of all-time. If we do say so ourselves, you all did one helluva job. Now, it’s time to turn the focus to the small ball game and pay tribute to some of the greats who have lifted All-Ireland titles with their clubs over the years. Our selection criteria is the same as what led to our Leinster and Munster fantasy provincial teams earlier this year. On that occasion, we didn’t select Connacht or Ulster teams because the All-Ireland winning clubs hail from just the one county in both provinces, Galway in Connacht and Antrim in Ulster. We haven’t forgotten about them here, however and will be including legends from both counties amongst the nominees for selection in our greatest club hurling team of all-time, starting with the full-forward line below. As was the case with the football XV, we have to stress that only players who HAVE WON A SENIOR ALL-IRELAND TITLE WITH THEIR CLUB are eligible for selection. Get voting.
