Great scenes at Croke Park as 20×20 banner is proudly flown during All-Ireland semi-final

A movement to make a difference.

35 ladies footballers from Whitehall-Colmcille GAA club in North Dublin marched proudly onto the Croke Park pitch along with the 20 X 20 banner prior to Dublin and Mayo's All-Ireland semi-final meeting on Saturday evening. Loud applause greeted their arrival as the Dublin and Mayo fans present acknowledged the importance of the work being done by the great people involved in this campaign. https://twitter.com/20x20_ie/status/1160210733596053505 First of all, this 20x20 campaign is an initiative that is seeking to change the subliminal bias that exists in Irish sport when comparing the coverage of men's sport to that of their female counterparts. It's certainly making a huge difference with huge efforts being made by media organisations and various other people to boost the attention it is given. The footballers brought the flag onto the pitch after Michael D. Higgins had greeted both sets of teams and unveiled the banner that contained their slogan, 'If she can't see it, she can't be it.' https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/1160218215483658242   Boxer Kellie Harringon spoke shortly after the banner had been unveiled and she called on those present at Croke Park to show their stripes and to take in more women's sporting events over the next couple of months. Some of the big events coming up in Irish female sport includes the All-Ireland Senior and Intermediate Championship Camogie semi- finals on August 17th, the TG4 Ladies Football Senior Championship semi-finals on August 24th and the Women's Interpros ; Munster Women v Leinster Women on August 31st at Irish Independent Park in Cork.
