Irish invasion continues as Kelly, Sheridan and O’Dwyer ping in the goals

Cavan's Aishling Sheridan and the Collingwood Magpies continue to romp through the 2021 AFLW season.

The Pies faced one of their toughest challenges yet on Sunday morning, when taking on the in-form Melbourne Demons but the championship favourites asserted their authority with a dominant performance. Not even the efforts of eight-time All-Star Sinead Goldrick could keep the Demons in touch as Sheridan goaled early to send Collingwood on their way to a 49-14 win. The former DCU student has been one of the most clinical forwards in the League this season, punishing opponents on every half chance. On her return from a nasty finger injury, younger sister Niamh looked like she was never away while Grace made a decisive contribution with a well-taken goal in the first quarter. Working the ball from deep, one of the goals of the season so far was finished off with a peach of a finish off the left from the Moy Davitts player.
