Ireland's Fittest Family has been postponed following the untimely passing of 15-year-old contestant Cillian Flaherty.
The show was set to return to TV on Sunday, October 27th but has been paused following the death of Cillian.
The team behind the popular RTÉ show confirmed Cillian took part in the series during the summer.
His episode was due to air in the coming weeks, but it has been paused out of respect for his family.
His loved ones and community in Blanchardstown are reportedly shocked following his death.
"The broadcast of the new series of Ireland’s Fittest Family, originally scheduled to begin this Sunday night, has now been postponed following the death of one of this year’s participants subsequent to the completion of the series.
The spokesperson added, "RTÉ and Kite/Animo productions wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and friends at this time. Further details regarding the broadcast of the series will be provided in due course."
The teenager's school led the tributes with Blakestown Community School describing him as "popular".
"Our sincere sympathies are with Cillian’s family and friends at this time. Cillian was a very popular member of our school community.
"We know that he will be hugely missed by all those who knew him," they said.
