Following an investigation, Salazar, who coaches Olympic medalists Mo Farah and Galen Rupp, was accused of violating anti-doping rules.
However, Salazar explained in his letter that he "will never permit doping" among his athletes.
"In the BBC/ProPublica stories, Magness makes numerous allegations about a mistaken notation in a log-book charting athletes’ hemoglobin levels. The specific notation related to a December 2002 notation for Galen Rupp that states: “presently on prednisone and testosterone medication.” "I specifically recall the incident and Magness bringing it to my attention. Magness’ description of what I said is inaccurate. I did not disparage Dr. Myhre, for whom I had great respect. My clear recollection is that when he showed it to me, I stated that the entry was “crazy” as Galen had never taken testosterone. I then stated that Galen, as a 16-year old kid, must have misspoken about the supplements he was taking."The 56-year-old coach added: "I believe in a clean sport and hard work and so do my athletes."
