Stephen Roche leaps to Chris Froome’s defence with bizarre ‘broken noses’ jibe

Roche questions journalists being journalists.

Ireland's Tour de France winner believes current event leader Chris Froome is getting a raw deal from journalists and sceptical cycling fans. The Irishman believes the Team Sky cyclist has done everything he can he answer questions about whether or not he is boosting his performance by foul means. On Saturday, Froome revealed that he had a pot of urine thrown at him during stage 14. In an interview with Press Association, Roche defended the Kenyan-born Briton and made an odd comment about those that are openly doubting him.
