The three route options meant the race was fully subscribed more than two months ahead of the event, as runners, cyclists and kayakers made their way through the 19-kilometre mini, 41km sport, and 57km expert levels, where they were treated to some of the most stunning scenery in the world.
Hundreds of spectators came out to cheer the competitors on as well, with everyone who completed the course able to avail of a well-earned massage, Japanese hot tubs, and of course, the glory of their medals after a gruelling day of action.
Dessie Duffy took home the experts winner's title on the day in a time of 3hrs 5mins with Moire O Sullivan the best female competitor in a time of 3hrs 41mins.
The next race in the Quest Adventure Series will take place in Achill on September 3rd and Killarney on October 1st.
