Because John Harris drank four beers and ran a mile. A sub five-minute mile. The Australian recorded himself setting what looks to be an unofficial world record for the Beer Mile but we see no reason why he shouldn't be officially recognised as the champ. Fellow countryman, James Nielsen, holds the official clocked record at 4:57 but Harris beat it by just under a second, coming in at 4:56.2.
