Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano met yesterday for a press conference, ahead of their headline fight at Madison Square Garden on July 11.
It will be the third clash between the pair, with Taylor winning both, following their bout in 2022 at Madison Square Garden, and their rematch at the AT&T Stadium last November.
Like the last fight, the upcoming one will be streamed live on Netflix, but unlike last year's bout, which they co-headlined with Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, they will lead an all-female card.
Last night's presser was unusually feisty for the normally subdued Bray woman, as the pair clashed over the length of the bout.
Serrano complained that Taylor wouldn't grant her wish of 12x3 minute rounds, as in the men's, rather than the women's 10x2.
Taylor then blasted Serrano after the Puerto Rican fighter entered the event wearing head gear, as a nod to Taylor's alleged head butts during their last fight.
“When I saw her come out with the headgear on, I thought that was actually quite embarrassing. I was like, ‘Seriously?’ This is embarrassing from her point of view," she said.
“She’s embarrassing herself, really. That’s so ridiculous.
“I don’t need this fight. That’s the thing. She needs this fight a lot more than I do. So, she should be thanking me for this opportunity, really.
“I’ve already lost one of my champion privileges: she wants to walk to the ring second, she wants to be announced second. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
“But whatever. I don’t really care about that stuff. I just want to get in there, fight and perform. And after I win for a third time, I don’t want any complaints.”
