Former Cork footballer backs Tomas O Se’s criticism of Rebel management

Even his own are turning on him

Tomas O Sé wasn't too impressed  by Cork's Munster semi final win over Clare on Sunday and he's now lashed their management. Cork booked their place in the Munster final against Kerry next month, but on the Sunday Game the former Kerry wing-back was less-than-pleased by the display, and felt that there was still a number of questions over Cork's mental strength and described the way the team was picked as "all over the place". But it seems that the schoolteacher was just warming up as he unloaded both barrrels on the  the whole Cork team-and especially their manager Brian Cuthbert,

"They seem like a team rudderless enough to be fair, from management down. “They seem like a poor relation of Mayo in that you can’t trust Mayo, but you can’t trust Cork either. "That’s not playing games, it’s just calling it as I see it. They just seem like a team if you get on top of them very, very early, they’ve no plan B and they’ll just lie down.”

The west Kerry man, who now's playing his football with Nemo Rangers in Cork city, has also questioned the use of the squad under Cuthbert and the decision to recall former All-Ireland winner Alan O'Connor,

“But there was nothing there with Cork and that’s the worry I’d have for them. I just think on the field, they need fellas to stand up more and give more leadership. I think they still have a dangerous forward line. "They’re after bringing back Alan O’Connor, they’re after chopping and changing. They’d (Eoin) Cadogan and Fintan Goold at midfield for the full league and then they’re suddenly gone." "Put it like this - if Eamonn Fitzmaurice was in charge of Cork, I think you’d have a different Cork team.”

And O Sé seems to have gotten some support from a current colleague but former inter-county rival in the form of  James Masters.
