“It’s definitely up there” – Brian Dooher ranks Kerry win alongside Tyrone’s other historic victories

Brian Dooher has achieved everything for his county as a player, and on multiple occasions. The former wing-half forward won the county's first ever All-Ireland title in 2003, and then he went on to captain them on their victories in 2005, and 2008. Now he is at the helm, managing the Ulster side along with Feargal Logan, and has recently led them to success in their province. Yesterday, he guided them over the line against a favoured Kerry side, to seal their place in the All-Ireland final. In the post-match interview, Dooher was asked where this measured up with his previous successes.

They put in a memorable shift and at the same time it was just enough to get us over the line.

"We made a lot of mistakes in the first half but thankfully you know there are going to be mistakes. "Boys are trying hard and trying to do the best they can. It mightn't have been the perfect performance but it wasn't bad."
