Charlie Ward calls out 50 Cent following brutal knockout victory

After scoring a second-successive knockout win, Charlie Ward has his eye on perhaps the dumbest Conor McGregor rival of them all.

A last-minute opponent change was no problem for Charlie Ward in London on Friday. The SBG fighter was set to fight Louis King on the preliminary card of the landmark Bellator 200 event. However, King was forced to withdraw after being diagnosed with the mumps and in stepped Martin Hudson. Hudson entered this contest off the back of a three-fight skid. He left the cage with a four-fight losing streak and a 4-5 losing record. After having some good moments on the ground against in the early exchanges, he quickly found himself in over his head. Once Ward started working his ground and pound, the finish seemed inevitable. Sure enough, at the 2:23 mark of the first round, the referee intervened to award the TKO victory. That win clearly meant a lot to Ward. He was heard taunting Hudson throughout the entire finishing sequence. He told media afterwards that the animosity stemmed from the weigh-ins. Hudson rejected Ward offering to shake his hand after hitting the scales before slapping his chest and shouting, "All day I know this. All day."

"Yesterday in the weigh-ins, he was being a big fucking mongo. (Shakes head) I don't do that, you know. I don't do that. If I'm going to do something to ye, you won't know. It was just a case of he pissed me off, I had to hold myself. And then when I peeled him off and I got on top of him I knew he's done. I said to him, 'Now, big boy. Who's the big boy now?'"

Ward also used the opportunity to call out 50 Cent. The rapper and rival of Conor McGregor was one of the celebrities in the crowd. If Curtis Jackson wants a fight, Ward will be more than happy to give him one.

"50 Cent is running his mouth. He's here tonight, he's saying he's a promoter. He is saying he's a fighter, he'll fight Conor in the streets, this, that and the other. He's more my stamp, 185 lbs. If he wants to come into Bellator to fight, I'll fight."
