Clay Guida vows to send Conor McGregor back to “that potato-picking country he came from”

Everyone wants a shot at the Notorious.

UFC featherweight Clay Guida had some strong words for Conor McGregor at the UFC Glasgow Fan Q & A on Friday. Appearing on stage alongside fellow 145 lb-er Cub Swanson and women's strawweight champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk, Guida played down the Notorious' knockout victory over Chad Mendes at UFC 189 t claim the interim belt. Guida cited wrestling as a huge hole in McGregor's game and reckons that Jose Aldo will beat him with ease in the unification bout.

“He's very skilled, but he has a big hole in his game that everyone saw last week. I believe Jose Aldo being the champion that he is and defending the belt how many times, he's going to make short work of him."

The Carpenter then called out McGregor while simultaneously offending the entire island of Ireland, which was met with a mixed response from the crowd.

"When he gets done with him, Cub [Swanson] or I is (sic) is going to make even shorter work of him and he's going to be a distant memory and we're going to send him back to the potato-picking country that he came from."

This isn't the first-time Guida dropped the "potato-picker" slagging in relation to the Notorious. He used the ridiculous insult in an interview with AskMen.com in 2014.

"He is a flash in the pan and you can tell him that - however, I don't know if that Irish potato picker would know what that means, but he's a one hit wonder."
