Jon Jones has taken everyone’s advice on how to stop those pesky traffic violations

It looks like Jon Jones really has changed.

Jon Jones has had a real issue with staying out of trouble behind the wheel for a while now. Arguably the greatest fighter on planet Earth had his title revoked and was suspended by the UFC for his involvement in a hit-and-run in which a pregnant woman broke her arm and as he was preparing for his highly anticipated UFC return, he was pulled over for suspected drag racing. Bones' driving issues got to the point where a lot of people, including Conor McGregor, made the suggestion that he should just hire a driver to avoid any possible driving violations. His coach, Greg Jackson, revealed on the MMA Hour that Jones has heeded everyone's advice and gotten himself a full-time driver.

"He's got a driver now so everything should be fine. I just want him to focus on fighting, that's important. The rest of the circus, he should not be distracted by. He's a warrior, he needs to focus on that."

Jackson explained to host Ariel Helwani that Jones has recovered from his latest brush with the law, allowing him to focus on his comeback fight against Ovince Saint Preux at UFC 197.

"It was an unfortunate situation with everyone being at fault a little bit, but the responsibility ultimately was Jon's. It was a bad situation but he came out of there really focused. As long as he's razor-focused, he's a force to be reckoned with and he's really focused right now." "It was not very good thing, but he's not physically injured. He doesn't have anything wrong, he just made a mistake and maybe said some things he shouldn't have."

He confirmed that Jones wasn't drag racing, but admitted that the fighter could have handled his confrontation with the police officer who pulled him over a lot better.

"Jon wasn't really drag racing, the officer who was involved thought he was drag racing. So instead of deescalating that situation, it inflated it. Jon has a lot of pride and if somebody jumps on him, he's going to jump back. So that escalated it to where it didn't need to go."
