The former UFC bantamweight champion didn't have a lot of positive things to say about his former Team Alpha Male teammate on the MMA Hour this week.
Dillashaw hinted that the former WEC champion had a very devious reason for bringing him on the Ultimate Fighter 22. Although Faber and McGregor were rival coaches on the season, he hinted that the two conspired together to make him look like a schmuck.
"I felt like him bringing me on to The Ultimate Fighter was a trap. (It was) a way for him and Conor to bash on me for going to a different gym. (Faber) bashing me is a way to stay relevant, so the media had something to talk about other than his horrible fights."McGregor called Dillashaw a "Snake in the Grass" on the show, in relation to his infamous split from Faber's Team Alpha Male to join forces with Duane Ludwig. If you look at the comments on any of his Instagram or Facebook posts, you'll see that the moniker has stuck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycj3303kWMI Dillashaw admitted that Faber's continued efforts to talk smack about him over his departure from TAM has befuddled him.
"This is very uncharacteristic of him. I've never seen him like this, especially to ruin a friendship over me liking a coach. Guys cross train all the time. That's what Alpha Male's known for, guys have open doors to come in all the time. They don't call any of those guys traitors."If it's any consolation TJ, Conor McGregor probably would have talked just as much smack about you if you didn't make an appearance on the show.
