While it's no secret that Ireland has been more successful in the Summer Olympics rather than its winter counterpart, the nation has still sent four athletes to the Milano-Cortina games.
So, without further delay, here are the four competitors and when they'll be competing.
Cormac Comerford will be competing in four events in these games, already taking part in the men's downhill skiing, finishing 34th in the blue ribbon event.
Comerford's story is one of pure perseverance, racing for the first time at the games after three previous attempts.
He made it to Italy thanks to crowdfunding.
The 29-year-old learned to ski at the Kilteran dry slopes and works as a mechanical engineer in the off-season.
Comerford's coming events:
Wednesday 11 Feb, 10:30 start: Super-G
Saturday 14 Feb, 09:00 start: Giant Slalom Run one & two
Monday 16 Feb, 09:00 start: Slalom Run one & two
Thomas Maloney Westgaard will be taking to the cross country ski track in his third Winter Olympics, cementing his veteran status.
Westgaard will be competing across three events, one of which (skiathlon) took place yesterday in which he finished a very respectable 35th place, in the middle of the pack.
Westgaard was born in Norway to a Norwegian father and a mother from Galway.
Westgaard's coming events:
Friday 13 Feb, 10:45: 10km Free
Saturday 21 Feb, 10:00: 50km Classic
Youngster Annabelle Zurbay will be making her first appearance at the games at just 17 years old, becoming Ireland's youngest skier ever at the Winter Olympics.
She's based in Colorado and qualified for Ireland through her grandmother who is from Westmeath.
Zurbay's coming events:
Sunday 15 Feb, 09:00 start: Giant Slalom Run one & two
Wednesday 18 Feb, 09:00 start: Slalom Run one & two
Ben Lynch is another athlete who will be making his Olympic debut at these games.
The 23-year-old will be taking part in the halfpipe discipline of freestyle skiing at the games.
The skier was born in Dublin and moved to Vancouver, Canada, while young.
Lynch's upcoming events:
Thursday 19 Feb, 09:30: Halfpipe Qualification
Friday 20 Feb, 18:30: Halfpipe Final
