An Old Wesley player has been included in Namibia’s World Cup squad

Johann Greyling is in line to play New Zealand at the World Cup on September 24.

The inclusion of 'JC' Greyling in Namibia's Rugby World Cup squad has sparked celebration out in Donnybrook. The talented centre, who plays club rugby with Ulster Bank League side Old Wesley, has been named in Phil Davies' 31-man squad to take part in rugby's greatest international tournament. https://twitter.com/OldWesleyRFC/status/636859470149210112 According to the Old Wesley website, Greyling has previously played for Falke Rugby Club in Johannesburg. He turned out for Old Wesley's U20s and returned, last season, to the seniors. [caption id="attachment_37442" align="alignnone" width="630"] Wesley are now playing in Division 1B of the Ulster Bank League.[/caption] Greyling has represented his country on nine occasions since his Test debut, last October. He has three international tries to his name - against Germany, Zimbabwe and Russia - thus far. Namibia will be captained by Saracens flanker - and the guy Sean O'Brien calls the hardest tackler in rugby - Jacques Burger. While Greyling turned 24 during the summer, while three of the squad are under 21. Namibia coach Phil Davies commented, 'There’s a lot of things you have to consider when making a selection like this, the dynamic of the group is very important and I think we have a number of young, but inexperienced players whose exuberance is rubbing off on the more experienced players. 'I think it is the strongest group of players who we could have picked to select Namibia at the Rugby World Cup.
