Awfully worrying news for England and it could have massive Lions implications

After a fortnight of nothing but praise, the last thing Owen Farrell needed was an injury.

The Saracens back, who has played inside centre for England in this year's Six Nations, limped out of his nation's final full training session before they take on Scotland on Sunday. Footage of Farrell leaving the fray with England physio Phil Pask was shared by rugby commentator Nick Heath. https://twitter.com/nickheathsport/status/839832534418608128 Following the training session, England head coach Eddie Jones gave a short and sharp update on the 26-year-old. He commented:

"Owen Farrell ran into someone at training. He's a doubt but he'll be alright."

Farrell has been one of the England mainstays during their 17-match winning streak, which includes a Grand Slam triumph and a series whitewash in Australia. Farrell, who can also play outhalf, has attracted considerable money as a potential Lions captain for this summer's tour to New Zealand. Hayley O'Connor of Ladbrokes told The Hard Yards podcast:

"We thought it was a twelve-to-one shot but, just this week, there have been three or four really significant bets coming in for him so he is half that now."
