Donncha O’Callaghan’s mammy steals the show on live South African TV after Munster victory

Marie O'Callaghan and Mary Quinlan still have that Munster buzz.

Munster finished up their two-game spin of South Africa with another victory and they had Conor Murray to thank in Bloemfontein. The scrum-half came off the bench to score a try and kick an epic, 51-metre penalty as Munster recovered from 14-0 down to win 19-17. One of the stand-outs of the stint to South Africa was the fact that Munster's fans travelled in impressive numbers to George and Bloemfontein for both matches. Supersports' Warren Brosnihan was send down to interview some of the Munster faithful after their win over Cheetahs and he happened upon two mums of former players, Donncha O'Callaghan and Alan Quinlan. Marie O'Callaghan was up first and spoke with just as much passion and positivity as her son. She commented:

"There's no team like Munster. There's no place like Munster. So you all have to come to Munster to experience it."

Up next was Mary Quinlan, who raved about Taple Mountain and was fascinated when Brosnihan, a former Springboks flanker, informed her that he had played against her son. She replied:

"To be our age and to get over here and see all that was fantastic. So can you tell me your name so as I can tell my son?!"
