New date for Munster’s postponed Champions Cup clash appears to be set

The original fixture was called off following the tragic passing of Munster head coach Anthony Foley.

Rassie Erasmus' side, it has been reported by Le Parisien, will play the Top 14 outfit on Friday, January 6. This means the PRO12 powers that be will have to rearrange Munster's league clash with Edinburgh, which had initially been scheduled for January 7. The likelihood is the PRO12 game will move to either the last weekend of January or the first weekend of February. It will also mean Munster will have three weekends of consecutive Champions Cup action - Racing [away], Glasgow [away] and Racing [home]. Racing's Top 14 clash with Bayonne would then move to a free weekend during the Six Nations championship.
