Dylan Hartley has proved his fitness to England coach Eddie Jones and will lead his country in defence of their Six Nations Grand Slam. England coach Eddie Jones used the term 'foundation captain' and suggested the role is not locked down.
"Captaincy, like the jersey, is not a permanent position. Nothing is permanent... We're not a club team."Jones suggested that Hartley will be afforded every opportunity to retain his captaincy role if he trains well and leads the squad well in the lead-up to their tournament opener against France. Alex Lozowiski, Nathan Catt and Mike Williams are the uncapped inclusions in a 34-man squad that is likely to be led by Hartley. Broadcast reporters tried their best to extract an answer but Jones was not budging. Wait and see was his take but, for now, there is no guaranteed England captain. https://twitter.com/talkMacca/status/822373824792383489 https://twitter.com/CarrieBrownTV/status/822381676906967041 Some loved how Jones is laying down the law https://twitter.com/DGibbo88/status/822378420336087040 https://twitter.com/ohmydosh1972/status/822376777829924870 Others just aren't ready to forgive and forget https://twitter.com/thatderi/status/822389689101402114 The likelihood is that Hartley will captain England but Jones was trying his best to deflect this story for now and focus on his squad announcement and tournament preparations.
Fans tear into Leo Cullen after the Leinster boss slams media actions
A war of words! Following Leinster’s defeat of Toulon yesterday, head coach Leo Cullen took advantage of the situation to rub it into what he perceives as an unfair media. Despite continued appearances in Champions Cup finals and a semi-final loss to Northampton last year, as well as URC titles, Leinster do face their fair […]

Brilliant footage shows Toulon doing training drills on Dublin street ahead of Leinster loss
This is great! Ahead of their Champions Cup semi-final against Leinster this afternoon at the Aviva Stadium, Toulon were seen training in a rather unusual spot. Instead of a field or the gym, they were filmed on a Dublin street doing maul drills, while others causally tossed the ball around. It is unclear exactly where […]
