PIC: England’s Ben Youngs might well be the saddest Man of the Match winner of all time

Perhaps we should all just tone down the celebrations for a while.

After all, it's worth remembering that not everyone gets to celebrate a championship this evening. Whilst the country is out in force singing whatever French songs it is that they know (probably coming up short after Allez Les Bleus), it was only six miserly points that denied England their first Six Nations title since 2011. And, despite running through France in a classic end-to-end battle and winning 55-35, it wasn't enough and Ben Youngs' Man of the Match award at the end did nothing to ease the pain. As the English chased one final converted try that would have sealed them the trophy, the scrum half was pictured on television watching on glumly as time looked to be running out. A picture paints a thousand words here but the writing at the bottom of the screen really doesn't go along with this picture. We're sorry, Ben. We needed you to look like this for us to be happy.
