Three Irish players make it into French paper’s Six Nations team of the week

The lists keep coming and, still, Ireland can't muster over four inclusions

Look, we know it was not the prettiest ever Test win but you would swear Ireland beat France by 87 lucky bounces at the weekend. Joe Schmidt's side won 18-11 at the weekend but it was a grind. The stop-start [thanks Wayne Barnes] nature of Ireland's victory is reflected in just about every Six Nations team of the week you will find. Jeremy Guscott found room for only Johnny Sexton, The Express had three Irishmen and even SportsJOE could justifiably include four. French newspaper Midi Olympique has named its team of the week - available to see on its Rugbyrama website - and there are three Irish players included. The paper describes Peter O'Mahony as a 'real menace at the rucks' and credits him for slowing down French ball. Johnny Sexton, they say, had France feeling the blues while scrum-half Conor Murray won his dual with Rory Kockott 'hands down'.
