Billy Burns nails not one, but two perfect cross field kicks for Jacob Stockdale try

What an entertaining opening half in Paris.

It's been a rough couple of weeks for the Ulster men following back-to-back defeats to Munster and Connacht. Even in spite of their heroics at home against Leicester last week, not many were giving them a chance heading to Paris to take on last years beaten Champions Cup finalists, Racing 92. An early yellow card for Nick Timoney didn't deter the Belfast boys as they gave Racing an early scare running in two tries early doors to give the Irish men a 12-3 lead. The opening try was scored by David Shanahan, who was drafted in at scrum half replacing Ulster's key man, John Cooney. This try though from Jacob Stockdale may well go down as the score of the weekend. Billy Burns was heavily involved as his sweet cross field kick to Criag Gilroy gained vital yards. Ulster were patient, and opted not to truck the ball up the middle, instead feeding it back out to the influential Burns, who then executed another beautiful cross field kick to send Stockdale over for an easy try.
