Bernabeu breaks into chants of “Ronaldo, Ronaldo” during goalless Madrid derby

Real Madrid fans have made their feelings known.

Just a couple of hours after Cristiano Ronaldo played a part in each of Juventus' three goals in their 3-1 victory over Napoli, Real Madrid played out a 0-0 draw with city rivals Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid have now scored just one goal in their last three games and supporters made a point of crying out for the club's top scorer of all time as the team squandered chance after chance against Atleti. Ronaldo has scored three goals and set up four more in his seven games for Juve, earning five man of the match awards for his heroics. It was almost as if Real president Florentino Perez had been anticipating such a reaction from the Bernabeu as he tried to assure supporters that Ronaldo would one day return to Los Blancos. Discussing Ronaldo earlier this week, Perez said:

"He is the worthy successor of Alfredo Di Stefano, he is the player who has scored more goals in the history of Madrid, and I think that he is one of those players who will be in the hearts of the Real Madrid fans and will [be remembered] from generation to generation. He is one of those that one day will come back."
