A source close to the player has said that Ronaldo is "angry" and "sad" at being accused of tax fraud and intends to leave Real Madrid as a result.
Recently, Spanish prosecutors had accused the four-time Ballon d'Or winner of evading tax to the value of £13m.
"He feels he's honest, has good character and did everything OK, so he doesn't understand," the source told the BBC.
