Speaking to Record, the Portuguese publication, Mourinho clarified that following Rui Faria's departure, he would be appointing someone who was not Portuguese as his new number two. He also added the individual could not be named for the time being as they are currently attached to another club.
"It’s a person coming who worked with me before but I can’t say the name because he’s still linked to another club," he said.
