Louis van Gaal angrily responds to Manchester United fans demanding more attacking football

Louis van Gaal just does not get it.

His team are two points off the top of the Premier League, they have a chance to make the last 16 of the Champions League this week, and the club look to be in a much better place than this time last term. But one things still gnaws at the soul of the club's fans and that is the lack of entertainment on offer these days at Old Trafford. The club are functional, grinding down teams occasionally, but there is a growing realisation that the Dutchman's side lack a spark in the final third. LvG saw his side record yet another 0-0 draw at Old Trafford today against West Ham, their fifth 0-0 in just nine games. Afterwards boos rang around the Theatre of Dreams,  but speaking after the game, the former Barcelona manager could not understand why fans were unhappy once again at witnessing a stalemate in the Premier League

"I don't understand that they shout 'attack, attack' because we are the dominating team and not West Ham." "The fans are disappointed, I know that, but so am I and so are the players. They want to score every minute and you cannot." "I think when we have scored a goal they are very pleased, and they were supportive more than ever I think, so we have to score that goal and we did not do that."
