Rafa Benitez on the verge of remaining at Newcastle in the Championship

If Newcastle United keep hold of Rafa Benitez despite their relegation, it would be an absolutely massive coup.

The Champions League winner was widely expected to leave the North East club after failing to prevent them dropping to the second tier. But, if reports are to be believed, Magpies owner Mike Ashley has met the Spaniard's demands and is on the verge of securing his services for a stint in the Championship.
