Southampton win earns Ronald Koeman place on elite list of managers to make history at Old Trafford

The aura of fear that used to paralyse teams when they arrived at Old Trafford is truly gone.

The home of Manchester United, was for so long was not a 'theatre of dreams', but a citadel of nightmares for visiting teams. The home side would attack in waves, and often have games wrapped up by half-time as the opposition would shirk in the face of  a blitzkrieg of pace and guile. But those days are over ever since Alex Ferguson retired, as the club's home record against various Premier League sides, at the top and bottom of the table, has crumbled. Today was another disappointing afternoon for supporters at Old Trafford, as Southampton secured a second successive 1-0 win over the Red Devils.
