Lionel Messi's incredible strike for Barcelona has made this year's three-goal shortlist for the Puskas award. But that's no surprise, as the Argentine beat more than half of the Athletic Bilbao team to score a frankly astonishing strike earlier this year. But the Barcelona man won't have it easy if he to pick up the top goalscoring prize in January, as two other jaw-dropping goals are also in line for the award. Roma's Alessandro Florenzi and Brazilian Wendell Lira are also nominated for their strikes this year, and while we expect the Argentine to dominate the voting, don't be surprised if Messi leaves Geneva on January 11th empty handed.
