What has Ander Herrera done to Louis van Gaal? United fans all over the world would like to know

Meet Ander Herrera. He is is the new Shinji Kagawa of Old Trafford. He has a role to play, a vital one at that, but the manager refuses to use him. Annoyingly for the Spaniard though, in his case, he has only ever played well which makes van Gaal's constant overlooking of him all the more baffling. Herrera will start on the bench again tonight for Manchester United in their FA Cup replay against Cambridge and, should he come on, he will have made more appearances as a substitute this year than he has as a starter. We haven't a clue why and it seems that neither does Twitter. Herds of disgruntled United fans took to social media before kick off to vent their anger at Herrera's omission. Again.
