Donegal and Armagh fans have huge fight in shop after final

Fierce rivals.

However, their back-to-back title win was slightly tainted by a brawl between players at full time, which kicked off after a player from the Armagh bench punched a Donegal player who had been goading them.

And the fighting wasn't limited to the pitch, with fans trading punches in a shop after the match.

Following the game, Donegal boss Jim McGuinness said: “That’s where your training comes in.

“That is every night. It’s everything you do. It’s everything you do away from the training. All of those moments are going to come to the surface at some stage and that’s what we were talking about in our huddle at half time and extra time.

“’We’ve a lot of work done, lads. You know, we’ve a lot of work done. We can’t let this slip because we’ve been so dedicated to this thing for the last number of months.’ So I’m sure Armagh were saying exactly the same thing. But these are the conversations you have to find with yourself because you have to find something.” 

Armagh manager Kieran McGeeney said: "It’s hard to say. We probably had a couple of indisciplines," he added. "It’s really hard to see how Ross McQuillan didn’t get a free-kick after he won the kick-out.

"He was pulled back two or three times, so it was very difficult to see that one, but listen, sport, as they say, they’ll point to other stuff and brush that one under the carpet.

"A lot of things [happened in extra time] when you look at it, but you’re not really allowed to go into those things. Sometimes you have to bite your lip and accept that things are the way they are."
