Summer is another time of the year that can be the bane of your local manager's existence.
People have really warmed to the concept of taking holidays during the warmer months, but nothing gold can stay. What goes to Tenerife on the lash, must come back. However, once you come back to Irish shores, the manager is going to want you back on the training ground.
One goes on holiday for a good time and a break from the regular regime. It's an opportunity to cut loose and not worry about all those pesky responsibilities which may include maintaining an adequate level of fitness for your next club game.
This manager gets it. He knows what to expect from his players returning from their stay in the sun. He's just being realistic.
