The All-Ireland SFC round-robin series was filled with drama upon it's conclusion on Sunday. All eyes turned to the fixtures from the preliminary quarter-final draw, which took place on Monday.
The draw pitted second-placed and third-placed teams from the round-robin stage against each other for this weekend. The first-placed sides consisting of Meath, Armagh, Monaghan and Tyrone got a bye to the quarter-finals of the Sam Maguire.
The Ulster and Leinster champions will clash as Donegal face Louth. Munster holders Kerry will play against Cavan, with Down against Galway and Dublin against Cork the two other fixtures.
Plenty of discourse from fans has not been related to the outcome of the draw for the Sam Maguire, but rather how it was broadcasted to the public.
Many displayed their frustrations on social media on the draw, and the Tailteann Cup semi-final draw which also took place, being revealed on a Monday on the radio rather than on TV after Sunday's matches.
Fergal McGill of the Central Competitions Control Committee confirmed after the draw that the exact fixture dates and throw-in times for the preliminary quarter-finals will be confirmed by Monday evening.
