This looks set to be a bumper weekend of GAA action.

With two National Hurling League quarter-finals taking place, a host of final round Football clashes and the All-Ireland club finals on the menu, GAA fans will be spoiled for choice on Saturday and Sunday. From Portlaoise to Croke Park all the way up to Ballybofey, there will be hotly contested encounters in every corner of Ireland. Accumulators are a tricky game and you'll definitely lose more than you'll win but there's no harm in a small punt every now and again. We all fancy ourselves as experts on the GAA. There's a locality to it and there's always some kind of an inside scoop.

"These lads have been gunning for this game all year. The other team are missing their star man too so it should be a formality."

We've taken a look at the games taking place this weekend and have cherry-picked the most likely results and put them together in an accumulator that adds up to 42/1. What could possibly go wrong? To answer that question, absolutely loads, but we'll be sticking a euro or two down anyway.

Tipperary, 6/5, to beat Cavan

The game of the weekend. Tipperary, on the prowl for a second successive promotion have mixed the sublime with the poor in this campaign to date. They're rounding into form at the right time, however, and with twin towers Conor Sweeney and Michael Quinlivan going to town on every last line of defence they've had to face up to now, the Premier County are expected just edge Cavan and secure promotion for themselves.

Roscommon, 8/15, to beat Cork

Kevin McStay's men need a win to seal the promotion deal. Cork have less to play for and with the Rossies' on home turf, the greater motivation should tip the scales in their favour.

Tyrone, 8/11, to beat Kerry

There isn't much riding on this game but this age-old rivalry will ensure neither side will want to lose. Tyrone have been in better form so far and in front of a home Omagh crowd they'll be eager to impress.

Tipperary hurlers, even money, to cover -9 handicap

Dublin have endured an abysmal League campaign to date. The fact that they've made it to the quarter finals really just highlights the flaws in the current structure. It's tipped to get worse before it gets better on Sunday when Tipperary's lively forwards take to the wide open spaces of Croke Park. Anything other than one way traffic will be a big surprise.

Wexford hurlers, even money, to cover +1 handicap against Galway

Wexford have more to play for here. While they've enjoyed some good results in this League campaign to date, and in recent years, they'll be eager to claim the biggest scalp of all in the reigning All-Ireland champions. Davy's men have home advantage and we reckon there won't be much in this one at all. Go for the Yellow Bellies with the +1 handicap.

Na Piarsaigh, 5/6, to beat Cuala

The Limerick club were much the better team the last time out and really shouldn't be facing into a replay. If they can replicate that performance in Portlaoise on Saturday evening, the Tommy Moore Cup should be heading back Shannonside. Peter Casey, David Dempsey and Kevin Downes, all of whom were on form in Croke Park, can turn the tie in their favour. It all adds up to 42/1. Have a small punt.
