The GAA JOE Team of the weekend.
1. Jack Teape (St Mary’s)
Teape was the hero for St Mary's in their win over Drumcliffe-Rosses Point, kicking a late, great leveller in extra-time before saving three penalties in the shoot-out.
2. Stephen Reilly (Palatine)
Solid as a rock in the last line as Palatine won their seventh Carlow SFC title.
3. Eoin O’Dea (Na Fianna)
Yet another tigerish showing from the number three, who has been brilliant all year for the county final bound Mobhi Road men.
4. Johnny Bermingham (Castletown-Geoghegan)
Helped keep a dangerous Clonkill attack at bay as the black and amber men won their 14th Westmeath SHC title, and their first in five years.
5. Killian Sampson (Shinrone)
Four points from half back in his club's first ever Offaly SHC win. Sampson is a brilliant ball-striker and he showed that on the biggest stage.
6. Diarmuid O’Connor (Ballintubber)
Excelled in his new, more defensive role, was involved in everything and kicked a huge 45 for a finish.
7. Alistair Fitzgerald (Na Fianna)
The Na Fianna captain led by example with another tour de force, and has to be on Dessie Farrell's radar for a first Dubs call-up.
8. Adrian Mullen (Ballyhale Shamrocks)
The former Young Hurler of the Year hit 1-7 from play as the Shamrocks swept Clara aside to qualify for the Kilkenny SHC semi-final.
9. Darragh Mulgrew (St Eunan’s)
Never stops going, and he drove St Eunan's forward forward in their the Donegal SFC semi-final win over Kilcar.
10. Conor Casey (Gowna)
Hit 1-2, including a brilliant solo-goal in Gowna's Cavan SFC semi-final win over Crosserlough, and has certainly given Cavan manager Mickey Graham something to think about.
11. Luke Shanahan (Upperchurch Drombane)
Hit four sweet points from play to the Church to their first ever county SFC final in Tipperary.
12. Ethan Gibbons (Castlebar Mitchels)
Man-of-the-match and deservedly so in the Mitchels' win over Knockmore in the Mayo SFC. Co-manager Barry Moran mentioned in his post-match-interview that Gibbons could have been disappointed not to start the last day, but after this for a showing (0-7, 0-2f), he'll certainly start the next day.
13. Andy Moran (Ballaghaderreen)
Scored 3-3, in his last ever game, as he consolidated his club's status as a senior club. Bows out at the very top.
14. Ciaran Cleary (Shinrone)
The target man was on fire for the Offaly man, scoring five of the finest points from play.
15. Willie Dunphy (Clough-Ballacolla)
Dunphy nearly always delivers for his club, and he sealed their third Laois SHC in a row with 1-6 from play.
