Forget the Premier League, the GAA is back on your screens this weekend

The boom is back.

The Premier League may be back but the GAA hasn't gone away for long as live games return to our screens this weekend to cover the club championship. It was only a couple of weeks ago that we watched Dublin beat Kerry in the All-Ireland final, but it does feel like something of a famine when you have no big games to talk about or look forward to. Your Premier League Fantasy team helps fill the void a bit, but nothing beats the fact paced action of hurling and Gaelic football. This Sunday on TG4 is showing the Wexford senior hurling championship final between Olyegate-Glenbrien and Naomh Eanna and will be broadcast live from 3.50pm. Olyegate-Glenbrien are looking to end a 60-year wait for the DR RJ Bowe Cup, so history could be in the making if they were to get the win. Naomh Eanna haven't had to suffer quite as long as that with their last success coming back in 2018, but they won't be bringing any sympathy or sentiment for the opposition coming into this game. The match will take place at Chadwicks Wexford Park and the official throw in time is at 4pm. Don't worry Gaelic football fans, there's some juicy action on the TV for you to sink your teeth into as well as TG4 are showing coverage of the Mayo Senior football championship beforehand. You will be able to see club giants Ballina Stephenites take on Breaffy who boast star studded names like Aidan O'Shea and his brothers. Breaffy are yet to win a senior title with Mayo, so O'Shea and the rest of the team will be hoping that this is their year.
