If you’re a GAA fan in Dublin on Monday you owe it to yourself to go to Parnell Park

The standard is just so high.

There's something in the region of one and a half million people in Dublin, a lot of those don't like GAA but a lot of them do. For all the country folk that will be heading back to their home counties for the long weekend, those working in Dublin will probably find themselves back in the capital at some point on Bank Holiday Monday. It's like that Sunday feeling, except on a Monday, as you have to return to work but there's no reason to sit inside and moan when there is an absolute cracker of a game on in Parnell Park that evening. When Ballymun face St.Vincent's here are some of the players you can expect to see:

• Tomas Quinn
• Enda Varley
• Evan Comerford

There's also the possibility of seeing a very talented pair of brothers in All-Ireland winner John Small and his younger brother Paddy if they can prove themselves fit after coming off injured in Ballymun's semi-final. John really made a name for himself after a man of the match performance against Mayo last year but it is his brother that is stealing the spotlight, as James McCarthy told SportsJOE:

“There’s only one Small now is what we keep saying up at the club slagging John. "Look, Paddy has all the attributes, I know by him he’s really committed and he’d love to get down (to the Dublin seniors) and I definitely think he’s not far off he’s a brilliant player.”

The talent is in abundance and when you look at the two teams either of them has competed in the last five finals in the championship with Vincent's having won three of the last four. Such is the interest of this match that there are less than 200 tickets left for the stand in Parnell Park with tickets selling at a reasonable €15 with OAP and student rebates. So, if any GAA head from Dublin or not is around the Parnell Park area, they owe it to themselves to go watch a match that would be worth of Croke Park on St.Patrick's Day. Throw in is at 7 PM.
