All-Ireland club finals will clash with England v Ireland on St Patrick’s Day

Bollocks.

The GAA have confirmed the fixture arrangements for the All-Ireland club finals on St Patrick's Day. With Corofin facing Nemo Rangers in football and Cuala taking on Na Piarsaigh for the hurling title at 2pm and 3.45pm, the finals will go head-to-head with the eagerly-anticipated Six Nations clash between England and Ireland. Ireland face England at Twickenham at 2.45pm, meaning that it will directly clash with the second-half of the football final and will still be going on by the time the hurling throws in an hour later. It's likely to cause an interesting divide. The double-header at Croke Park will understandably be the big draw for GAA heads but the final round of the Six Nations has an enormous gravitational pull, too, especially if Ireland beat Scotland next time and are going for the Grand Slam against England. The GAA are doing things a little differently this year. In 2017, the hurling was played before the football and the two games threw in at 3pm and 5pm.
